A Massachusetts father is going the distance with his 10-year-old daughter as they race to find a cure for her rare neurological disorder.
Today, the 10-year-old girl requires a wheelchair and a G-tube feeding regimen and is non-verbal.
“They said her life expectancy would be about two years from diagnosis,” adds Greg, who also has 9-year-old son Tomas. “So we obviously surpassed that, thankfully.”
“She loved it,” he explains. “For the swimming part, she’s in a one-person inflatable kayak [and] I have a rope attached to me.

James Alvarez toldGood Morning Americathat he wanted to find a special way to honor his late wife, Yesenia Aguilar, while also celebrating their daughter Adalyn’s first birthday.
Aguilar never got to meet Adalyn, as she was killed in an alleged drunk driving accident in August 2020, according to the outlet. Though Aguilar did not survive, doctors were able to save Adalyn’s life and welcome her via Cesarean section.
Fourteen months after that day, Alvarez returned to the park with his daughter Adalyn andphotographer Grisel Leyva.

A dad and his daughter are no longer speaking after he refused to give her thousands of dollars for her wedding.
According to a post onReddit, the dad, who remains anonymous, shared that his daughter asked him for $200K to pay for her dreamdestination weddingin New Zealand.
“My daughter is getting married, and she wishes to have a destination wedding and [I] told her no,” he wrote in the initial post.

In the early morning hours on Sept. 1, 2017, Matthew Phelps called 911 and told dispatchers he thought he killed his 29-year-old wife Lauren while in a hazeafter taking cold medicine. Phelps, now 30, eventually pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and, on Oct. 5, he was sentenced to life in prison.
On Wednesday, Lauren’s parents Dale and Laurie Hugelmaier spoke with ABC’sGood Morning Americaabout domestic violence and the warning signs they wish they had discussed with their daughter in the days before her death.

When a young Tennessee girl’s teddy bear was accidentally donated and sold at a local Goodwill, she lost more than just a favorite stuffed animal. It was also a reminder of her late mother. Now, their community is coming together to try and help.
