The rapper (né Jonathan Lyndale Kirk), 29, was charged on one count of carrying a concealed weapon and one count of carrying a loaded firearm in a vehicle, the Beverly Hills Police tell PEOPLE.
Police say that shortly after 4:30 p.m., officers were called to Rodeo Drive after a store’s security reported that a man had had a weapon in his waistband while in the store.
The “Rockstar” singer was released on a $35,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court in March.

The six-time Grammy Award nominee, 29,has been disinvited from Lollapalooza, with the music festival posting a last minute announcement that his Sunday headlining appearance was cancelled. “Lollapalooza was founded on diversity, inclusivity, respect, and love,” they wrote on Twitter.
“And for any brands, networks, or artists that like to profit off of black rappers influence on the culture, without understanding it or having the patience to deal with what comes with the position we play in our culture,” headdedin a followup tweet.

Among the organizations who did not respond toDaily Beast’s request for comment are GLAAD, Gilead COMPASS, National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), Prevention Access Campaign, the Southern AIDS Coalition and Transinclusive Group.
At the festival, the rapper also said, “Ladies, if your p—- smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d— in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up.”
Soon after the remarks, he apologized for spreading misinformation.

Shortly after, he shared a video of himself saying, “Bitch, I’m mad as hell.” He then apologized to his fans writing, “I’m sorry Charlotte ?,” in a video of himself pouting.
