Fox 5 News anchor Blake McCoy was suspended on Tuesday after he made insensitive remarks about theCOVID-19vaccination rollout in Washington, D.C.
“I’m annoyed obese people of all ages get priority vaccine access before all essential workers when most stayed home, we went into work everyday last March, April, May and everyday since putting ourselves & loved ones at risk,” McCoy wrote in asince-deleted tweeton Tuesday.
He added, “Vaccinate all essential workers.

A D.C. man was hit over the head with a glass beer bottle while walking with a date Friday in what police are investigating as a suspected LGBTQ hate crime.
Police said the suspect then approached Arnwine and struck him in the back of the head with a glass beer bottle.
“I noticed him running toward me out of the corner of my eye and then he broke a beer bottle over the back of my head,” Arnwine toldFOX 5.

A woman whoallegedly confessedto putting her 2-month-old son’s body in the trash after she claimed he died while he was sleeping has been killed.
LaDonia Boggs, 39, was allegedly stabbed to death inside of a Washington, D.C. apartment on the 1500 block of Benning Road on Wednesday, the Metropolitan Police Department said in anews release.
Just before 3 a.m. that morning, Fifth District detectives responded to alerts of an incident in the area and found Boggs inside “suffering from an apparent stab wound.

Seven of the eight American bulldog puppies who were in their owner’s car when it was stolen safely reunited with their pet parent on Sunday.
In apress release, the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D.C. explained that the puppies' pet parent had left their vehicle running and unlocked on Saturday when it was stolen with the newborn dogs inside.
The police described the outstanding furry friend as “a 5-week-old American Bull Dog who is dark in color with white markings.
