The fourth winner, Miss America Nia Franklin, was unable to be there due to a scheduling conflict. (She is currently in Connecticut, preparing to crown her Miss America 2020 successor on Dec. 19.)

Gavin Newsom signed a bill on Oct. 13 requiring that cursive writing be taught in the state’s schools.“This bill would require handwriting instruction for grades 1 to 6, inclusive, to include instruction in cursive or joined italics in the appropriate grade levels. To the extent that this bill would impose new duties on local educational agencies, it would constitute a state-mandated local program,” the text toAssembly Bill 446read.

The Real Housewives of Potomacstar announced on Friday that Graves, a famed civil rights activist, had died. He was 84.
In sharing the news onInstagram, Bryant posted a photo of the pair alongside her three daughters. She accompanied the image with a brief yet loving message.
“Thank you for being the best Dad that a little girl could ever want or need,” wrote Bryant, 52.

After an unprecedented year, Curtis Stone is itching to get back to his travel-packed lifestyle.
“I miss travel so much. You don’t realize how much you’re going to miss something until it’s too late. For the last 12 months, I’ve been on a plane once — and I’m normally on one every couple of weeks,” says Curtis, 45. “Down in Australia, we just can’t wait to open our borders and welcome everyone with open arms again.
