A rabidly anti-Muslim politician in Australia is facing widespread denunciation after immediately blaminga Friday mass shooting in New Zealand— which killed more than 40 people at two local mosques — on the Muslim faith and Muslim immigration.
“The real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place,” Sen. Fraser Anning, who represents Australia’s Queensland,said in a statement to the media.

On July 5,National Geographic’s largest SharkFestyet kicks off. This year’s massive television event will last for six weeks and include 21 hours of original content. That’s so many sharks, they couldn’t be kept to just one network. SharkFest programming will be featured on four networks: National Geographic, Nat Geo WILD, Nat Geo Mundo, and Disney XD. Danny Aiello, the Oscar-nominated actor best known for movies includingDo the Right ThingandMoonstruck, has died, PEOPLE confirms. He was 86.
“It is with profound sorrow to report that Danny Aiello, beloved husband, father, grandfather, actor and musician passed away last night after a brief illness,” his family said in a statement. “The family asks for privacy at this time. Service arrangements will be announced at a later date.”
Aiello died on Thursday night at a medical facility in New Jersey,TMZreports.
