A White couple who shot at a Black man and his young son while they were dropping off a moving truck were convicted of three counts of aggravated assault and sentenced to nearly three years in prison, according to a news release from authorities in Florida.
Jail records indicate Beverly and Wallace Fountain of Tallahassee, Fla., are in custody.
The couple pleaded no contest to the charges, and a judge adjudicated them guilty and sentenced them to 33 months behind bars, theTallahassee Democratreports.

Two people who recently played Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus at a holiday celebration in Georgia have tested positive for COVID-19, possibly exposing dozens to thenovel coronavirus.
The unidentified pair were diagnosed with coronavirus on Saturday, two days after appearing in a Christmas parade in Ludowici and taking photos with roughly 50 children following a tree-lighting ceremony, according to officials.
Robert Parker, the chairman of the Long County Board of Commissioners,said in a statementon its website that the duo “were not displaying any symptoms at the time of the event.

On Jan. 26, the intensive care unit at MountainView Hospital was filled with joy as 74-year-old Eddie D. and 75-year-old Patricia M. said “I do” five decades after ending their initial marriage.
“We were young and stupid,” Patriciatold the hospitalof their first marriage in the 1970s. “We divorced in a year but maintained contact over the years.

In 2005, Sean and Kiley Hanish went from being excited parents-to-be to enduring the most devastating loss.
The couple felt alone in their pain.
Sean, a television commercial director, would go on to write and direct the 2014 film, Return to Zero, starringMinnie Driverand Paul Adelstein. The film centers around a couple mourning the loss of their stillborn son.
“That was my way of dealing with my grief,” says Sean.
