Both suspects faced a judge on Feb. 11, but the case was continued. The suspects are being held without bond, and neither has entered pleas to the charges against them.
It wasn’t immediately clear if either suspect has retained an attorney to comment on the allegations.

The birth became a reality after new mom Mallory and her husband Nick became part of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Medicine’s transplant program. The program isone of only four of its kindin the U.S. and required the couple to live in Birmingham, Alabama for over a year after receiving a transplant from a deceased donor through the nonprofitLegacy of Hope.
According tothe university’s website, Mallory and Nick chose to pursue a uterus transplant after Mallory’s sister served as a gestational surrogate for the birth of their daughter.

Callie and Gabriel Smith had already welcomed three children when their quadruplets arrived in June, but in some ways, the California couple’s new babies made them feel like rookie parents.
“It feels like they’re our first kids because they’re our first preemies,” Callie, 36, tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“It’s definitely been a learning curve,” the mom of seven adds.

After four years, a Tennessee couple’s dream of becoming parents finally came true — twice!
Clay and Meredith “Bo” McCord welcomed their first child, son James Wakefield McCord, via surrogate onMother’s Day, according to a release from Brookwood Baptist Health. Then three days later, Bo delivered their daughter, Mary Clark McCord.
“We couldn’t be happier,” the new dad said in a statement.
