TheOconee County Sheriff’s Office(OCSO) said a small plane carrying the couple crashed in Watkinsville just after 2:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday. “We are devastated,” they wrote, noting that the pair were “both seasoned pilots.” “While taken from us far too soon,we find comfort knowing they were togetherand doing what they loved, flying,” the family added.

Corinne and Robert “Bob” Johnson were inseparable from the time their love story began to their final farewells that came just 33 hours apart, KARE 11reports. On Sunday, Nov. 24, Corinne, 87, died from congestive heart failure. The following day, Robert, 88, passed away following a battle with cancer.

Couple Dies After Getting Trapped When Boat Crashes Ashore, Splits in Half and Hits Home

Illinois’ Department of Natural Resources said an open motorboat was traveling “very fast” on the Fox River in McHenry on Saturday when it came ashore, hit a home and split in half, according to theLake and McHenry County ScannerandNorthwest Herald. The two were trapped underneath the boat as a result of the crash, the outlets reported.

Couple Dies of the Plague After Eating Raw Marmot Meat: Reports

Photo: Getty A Mongolian couple died from the bubonic plague after eating raw marmot meat, causing a six-day quarantine to be declared in a western province of Mongolia earlier this month. Ariuntuya Ochirpurev from the World Health Organization in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia toldthe BBCthat some in the area believe the raw meat of a marmot, a type of large rodent, has good health benefits. According to Ochirpurev, the 118 people who had come into contact with the couple were all isolated and treated with antibiotics.
