“I think the kids have three baseball games and two football games before we leave for Las Vegas,” Brad Rempel — husband to wife Rebekah and father of sons Drew, 10, and Cash, 7 — says with a laugh.

It was 2019, and Alex Garrido found himself standing in the gift shop of the Grand Ole Opry, making one of the loftiest predictions of his life.
“I told my mom that one day in the future, I was going to come back and play the Opry,” Garrido, 28, remembers during an interview with PEOPLE of the family vacation he took right before joining duo partner Kat Luna onAmerican Idolback in 2020.

Country duo Muscadine Bloodline is made up of self-proclaimed “normal dudes” who cut their own grass and pick their own weeds and last year, found themselves losing their way trying to make it in Nashville. So the duo, made up of Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton, stopped and reassessed everything in their lives as they realized an underlying problem.
“We realized we were playing it too safe…and we are not going to play it safe anymore,” Muncaster, 29, tells PEOPLE.

Derek Drye was 30 years old when he remembers hearing his mother’s voice for the very first time.
