In an incredibly unusual show of disapproval of one of its members, the House of Representatives on Thursday voted to strip freshman Georgia lawmakerMarjorie Taylor Greeneof all her committee assignmentsin the wake of escalating controversyof her past support of conspiracy theories, violent rhetoric and other behavior.
The House voted 230 to 199 to remove Greene, 46, from the Education and Budget committees.
“I have never encountered a situation like the one before us now, where a member has made such vile and hurtful statements, engaged in the harassment of colleagues and expressed support for political violence,” House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said in a speech Thursday.

She criticized the Republicans who have been sharply criticizing her behavior.
“I am leaving the Republican Party until the Republican Party comes back home to conservatives,” Ellistoldthe far-right outlet Newsmax, where she is a contributor.
Ellis also called for the resignation of the Republican National Committee’s chief counsel, Justin Riemer, who reportedly denounced her and fellow Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani’squest to invalidate President Joe Biden’s election victory.

Logan Paulis facing criticism yet again.
On Wednesday, during an episode of his podcastImpaulsive, the 23-year-old social media star sparked controversy while discussing his New Years resolutions with co-host Mike Majlak.
“January is sober vegan January and then February….” Paul said, while Majlak added, “Is fatal February.”
“The exact opposite,” Paul added.
As for March, “It’s male-only March,” Paul said. “We’re going to attempt to go gay for just one month.
