After becoming enraged that another man had said “hello,” to his then-girlfriend, Franklin Robinson rounded up a crew of men with guns this past April and went looking for the man, witnesses told a Connecticut jury who went on to convict Robinson of murder in July.
Connecticut Judge Brian Preleski sentenced Robinson to 90 years behind bars Wednesday,the AP reported, for his part in the killing of the mother of Puerto Rico’s two-time rifle shooting Olympian, Yarimar Mercado Martínez.

On Sunday, Justin Gigliello shared a video from his serenade on Twitter, prompting thousands of social media users to applaud his talent.
“I just wanted to share this video for a Disney experience! We just went to Disney World last week and my daughter asked the pianist at the Grand Floridian if I could sing while he played,” Gigliello wrote.

Police in Connecticut had to dig through branches and power lines to free a 21-year-old from his car after lightning sent a large tree branch onto the vehicle, killing the man, reports say.
An electrical crew had to shut down the power lines before firefighters could free him, the AP reported. Marotto, of Southington, was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he died,according to the Connecticut Post.

A mother of two who recently moved to Connecticut from Hawaii has been missing since Friday as police arrested her ex-boyfriend Tuesday for allegedly assaulting her before she vanished.
Mason is the mother of two boys, ages 11 and 12, andworked in Hartford, recording court proceedings in family court, theHartford Courantreports.
“They both lasted for less than a minute,” Horlback told KHON2. “I called the police station, they verified that contact was made, however, they couldn’t hear anything on the phone.

A mother and young daughter have died after they appeared to be swept down a Connecticut river, state police said on Wednesday.
On Tuesday evening, authorities were notified at approximately 5:23 PM that Kelly Dora, 39, and Aralye McKeever, 5, of Norwich were reportedly “lost” in the Shetucket River in the Park Drive area of Sprague, according to astatementfrom the Connecticut State Police.
