Common, along with a talented group of students from hisCommon Ground Foundation, is giving back in a heartwarming way.
On Wednesday, the Oscar-winning actor, artist and activist teamed up with some of Chicago’s youth to give back to their community — and his hometown. The rapper, 47, partnered with Burlington stores to help launch the retailer’s 13th annual coat drive.
“As I talk to you right now it’s 24 degrees in Chicago, and it feels even colder and there are people out there who don’t have coats,” the musician exclusively tells PEOPLE.

According toReutersandUPI, fluconazole, or diflucan, is a common oral antifungal medicine that is used to treat vaginal yeast infections. In the study, researchers noted that about one in 10 pregnant women will develop a yeast infection — up to 10 times more than in non-pregnant women.
The study examined 441,949 pregnancies in Quebec from 1998 to 2015.

More than 50 shelter animals caught inHurricane Florence‘s path were saved twice.
Lucky Dog Animal Rescueof Arlington, Virginia, sprang into action when they learned one of its shelter partners in South Carolina needed to evacuate ahead of Hurricane Florence.
The rescue lined up fosters for all the South Carolina pets and drove a large van down to the shelter to pick up the adoptable animals.
