An anonymous student reported the alleged activity throughSafe2Tell, a tipline that allows Colorado students to report illegal activity in their schools. According to the police report, the school’s head track coach confronted Porter after hearing about the tip. She allegedly confessed to him. “She said ‘I f–ked up’ and that she was ‘in a real bad place right now,'” the coach told police, recalling what Porter had allegedly told him.

The pair had been lifelong friends, according to Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock, theDenver Post,Highlands Ranch HeraldandKUSAreport. Less than a half an hour later, police believe Hoffman killed Pena while parked in a parking lot near Mile High Academy in Highlands Ranch, where she went to school. Her cause of death was not immediately clear.

Colo. Teen, 17, Was Slain in Family Home in 2017 — Now FBI Thinks It Was Possibly a Hate Crime

Long was reportedmissing on Dec. 1, 2017after she didn’t show up to an evening concert at her high school. That same night, her remains were found in her burned down Bailey home. However, authorities now think Long may have been targeted because she was Asian American. It’s unclear what evidence federal investigators have collected that led them re-classify the case.

Colo. Volleyball Coach Says He Was Forced to Quit His Job at Christian High School for Being Gay

A Colorado man claims he was forced out of his job as a volleyball coach at a religious high school due to his sexual orientation.
