A Colorado mom is facing a criminal charge for allegedly plotting with members of a far-right conspiracy group to kidnap a child that had been removed from her custody.
The daughter further alleged to the caseworker that she “could not understand why her mother did not see how this was a bad thing,” according to the warrant.
Abcug, 50, was picked up December 30 in Kalispell, Montana, on the warrant out of Colorado seeking her arrest, reports theFlathead Beacon.

A Colorado mom who received media attention and charitable donations while saying her daughter had been diagnosed with myriad health problems is now accused of inducing the girl’s illnesses and murdering her.
Kelly Renee Turner, now 41, was arrested at a hotel in Glendale last Friday in connection with the 2017 death of 7-year-old Olivia Gant, according to a statement from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

A gunman who had expressed a “hatred” of police killed a Colorado officer and a Good Samaritan who intervened on Monday before dying in the incident himself, according to the Arvada police chief.
At about 1 p.m. Monday, dispatchers received a call for a disturbance at Olde Town Arvada, a popular shopping district with restaurants, shops and bars. About 30 minutes later, dispatchers received additional calls for “shots fired” and an “officer down,” said the chief, Link Strate,during a press conference.

The family of a 73-year-old Colorado woman who suffers from dementia has filed a federal lawsuit alleging that the three police officers involved in her June 26, 2020, arrest “violently assaulted” her while violating her civil rights as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Sarah Schielke, the lawyer representing Karen Garner, provided PEOPLE with a copy of the lawsuit, which seeks unspecified compensatory, consequential and punitive damages against Loveland, Colo.

A Colorado high school student won’t be able to wear her Mexican and American flag sash at graduation on Saturday, a judge ruled on Friday, according to several news outlets.
Naomi Peña Villasano sued her school district after they rejected her decision to wear the sash — which depicts the Mexican flag on one side and the American flag on the other, presenting her heritage.
While the court considered her claim, she filed for a temporary restraining order so that she would be able to wear the sash for her graduation ceremony, according to theAssociated Press.
