Austin Hopp, formerly of the Loveland Police Department, pleaded guilty to a single charge of second-degree assault in March. Michael Ninomiya, 42, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder, attempted child abuse knowingly or recklessly causing death, and attempted child abuse knowingly or recklessly causing serious bodily injury. Firefighters eventually found them in a fenced-off drainage culvert along the High Line Canal.

According to the Englewood Police Department, Maclaren, 81, is accused of murdering his wife and daughter with an ax, and then stuffing their bodies into individual trash cans in their Englewood, Colo., living room.
