Liza Burke, a senior at the University of Georgia, whosuffered a brain hemorrhage while on a trip to Mexico for spring break, died early Friday morning from a brain tumor.
Liza’s mother Laura told 11Alive in a messagethat “Liza took a final breath, sighed and transitioned into the next realm” at around 2:20 a.m. local time.

A senior at the University of Georgia is recovering after suffering a brain hemorrhage while on a trip to Mexico for spring break.
She was later diagnosed with arteriovenous malformation (AVM) at a local hospital, Ritter said. Doctors said the condition triggered the brain bleed, which has left Burke on life support.
More than$138,000 was raisedvia Ritter’s GoFundMe campaign to help pay for Burke’s life-flight transport from Mexico to Jacksonville, Fla.

Meanwhile, another individual called 911, according to WPLG. The caller begged the dispatcher to send someone out as fast as possible, saying that the victim was “bleeding really bad” and had “a really big gash” in his thigh.

The 21-year-oldAtlanta college student who has been missingsince the early hours of Oct. 31 has tragically been found dead.
Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields announced the sad newsduring a press conferenceon Friday, telling reporters that Alexis Crawford’s body was found in a park in DeKalb County, Georgia, off of Columbia Drive.
It is not immediately clear if Jones and Brantley have obtained legal representation yet.
“The department did take a police report from Alexis Crawford on October 27, and this is a few days prior to her being reported missing.
