Two college football players have been arrested and kicked off their team after a video posted to Snapchat allegedly showed them beating a miniature poodle with a leather belt.
Blake Hiligh, 19, and Zachary Pilarcek, 20, who played for the University at Buffalo football team, are both charged with one count of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals and one count of failure to provide proper sustenance, according to a press release from John Flynn, the district attorney of Erie County, N.

Making it to the college national football championship may come easy for these athletes, but knowing facts about the 1990s? Not so much.
On Monday, ESPN released a video that featured several players from the LSU Tigers and Clemson Tigers teams being asked to identify different people and items that were popular in the ’90s.
The players, which included Trevor Lawrence, Grant Delpit and Ja’Marr Chase from LSU, and Justyn Ross from Clemson, were all born between 1998-2001.

Things got testy in the waning moments of the Quick Lane Bowl matchup between Eastern Michigan University and the University of Pittsburgh on Thursday night.
This caused another Pittsburgh player to come to his teammate’s aid, and when a referee attempted to separate the two, Glass threw another punch and inadvertently struck the official in the face. Players from both sides rushed in to help after the referee fell to the ground.

According toUSA Today, the official’s injury occurred during the school’s homecoming game on Saturday. The referee sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, the newspaper reported.
An investigation into the incident has been launched, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office toldUSA Today, adding that the findings will be sent to the district attorney’s office for potential criminal charges. (The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The 22-year-old football player popped the question to girlfriend Mackenzie Grimsley in a romantic beach proposal, the couple confirmed Sunday.
“I’ll love you forever @bradengalloway ❤️,” she wrote alongside one photo, which showed off Galloway’s impressive set-up, including the words “MARRY ME” spelled out in lights and a heart-shaped arrangement of rose petals in the sand.
Galloway led a blindfolded Grimsley down to the beach before sliding the emerald-cut diamond onto her ring finger.
