A “debris field” has been discovered during an underwater search for themissing submersiblethat was traveling to the site of theTitanicwreckage, according to the United States Coast Guard.
Crews have been searching for the OceanGate Expedition submersible namedTitan, whichwent missingon Sunday while venturing into the depths of the North Atlantic Ocean to view theTitanicwreckage.
Horizon Arctic, a Canadian vessel, deployed a remotely-operated vehicle (ROV) Thursday morning to search for theTitan.

The United States Coast Guard is currently searching for a man who went overboard on a Carnival cruise ship Thursday night hours after its departure out of Galveston, Texas.
Carnival tells PEOPLE in a statement that “based on camera footage,” the man — who was on a Carnival Dream ship for a four-day sojourn — appears to have “jumped from his stateroom balcony.”
“The ship’s command promptlybegan search and rescue procedures, returned to the area near where the incident occurred and notified the U.

The U.S. Coast Guard has suspended its exhaustive search for dozens of people who went missing during a suspected human smuggling event off the coast of Florida Saturday night.
Coast Guard Sector Miami Captain Jo-Ann Burdian announced Thursday afternoon that she had made the “complicated” decision to call search and rescue teams back to shore come sunset.
For nearly three full days, several crews scoured an area more than 10,500 square miles — roughly the size of Massachusetts — finding five bodies and no survivors.

The Coast Guard has suspended its search for a man whowent missingwhile swimming off the coast of Florida four days ago.
Jonathan Michael Christy, 46, was last seen around 2:30 p.m. local time on Saturday while swimming in the ocean near 950 Reed Road in Vero Beach, the Indian River County Sheriff’s Officesaid in a bulletin.
The searchwas suspendedTuesday evening after crews spent 45 hours searching nearly 400 square miles for Christy.
