Rene Marshhas a poignant birthday wish following the death of her 2-year-old son.Just two days after sharing the tragic news that her son Blake haddied after a battle with pediatric brain cancer, the CNN correspondent shared a heartbreaking post about how she was spending her birthday this year.
“I always expected you to help me blow out the candles. Instead today we pick out your gravesite,” shewroteon Instagram alongside a photo that showed her celebrating her “very first birthday with Blake circa 2019,” which was taken when her son was 1-month-old.

Richard Roth, CNN’s senior U.N. correspondent, is praising his “heroine” colleague for saving his life with a kidney transplant.
In September, the veteran journalist wrote a letter to his coworkers sharing his need for a kidney after revealing the first “valiant” one he received from a deceased donor 25 years ago was “rapidly dying inside me,” CNNreports.
Doctors learned that Roth and Jafari were a match and, this past weekend, she donated one of her kidneys in a successful surgery, according to the outlet.

Van Jones‘ marriage is coming to an end.
The host of CNN’sThe Van Jones Showand his wife, Jana Carter, are divorcing, PEOPLE confirms.
“We will continue raising our kids together, running our businesses together and supporting each other’s growth,” the statement continued. “There is no beef or drama — just evolution.”
Carter filed divorce documents on Friday and is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their two children as well as spousal support, TMZreports.

CNN+will no longer be streaming.
TheCNNextension will shut down just one month after it launched on March 29, the network confirmed on Thursday. The official end date for the streaming platform is April 30.
The decision to terminate the short-lived platform comes as Chris Licht, former executive producer ofThe Late Show With Stephen Colbertand executive vice president of special programming at CBS, is in line to take over as CNN’s CEOaround May 1.
