CNN host Jake Tapper called out conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh’s potential hypocrisy Thursday night after the controversial right wing radioman made fun of Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg in a homophobic argument during his show on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Limbaugh (who is facing advanced lung cancer) referred to Buttigieg as “Booty Judge” and said President Donald Trump, 73, would probably “have fun” with Buttigieg for being publicly affectionate with his husband, Chasten, 30.

CNN legal analyst Areva Martin apologized after accusing Fox Nation host David Webb of white privilege while on his SiriusXM radio show.
Martin, who is also a civil rights attorney, and Webb were discussing whether race was a factor in applying for jobs when Webb said, “I never considered my color the issue. I considered my qualifications the issue.”
Martin responded, saying, “Well, David, that’s a whole other long conversation about white privilege and the things that you have the privilege of doing that people of color don’t have.

CNN has a new CEO, the network announced Wednesday. Mark Thompson, former chief executive ofThe New York Timesand director-general of the BBC, will take over as chief executive and chairman beginning Oct. 9.
“There isn’t a more experienced, respected or capable executive in the news business today than Mark, and we are thrilled to have him join our team and lead CNN Worldwide into the future,” David Zaslav, the chief executive of CNN parent company Warner Bros.

Jeff Zucker is resigning from his position as president of CNN Worldwide.Zucker, 56, announced his departure from the role in a staff memo on Wednesday. The media executive explained that the decision for him to resign was made after he failed to disclose a “consensual relationship” with a colleague.“As part of the investigation intoChris Cuomo’stenure at CNN, I was asked about a consensual relationship with my closest colleague, someone I have worked with for more than 20 years,” the statement read, perCNN.
