Rescue team saving the group of hikers.Multiple people have been rescued in Phoenix after suffering heat-related illness during a hike.The 15-person group of mostly women gathered from Alabama, Tennessee, and California, had been hiking the Echo Canyon Trail at Camelback Mountain on Thursday morning when things took a turn. According toFox 10, the group was together to film a reality series calledBad Girls Gone God, where they tackle intense physical and spiritual activities to get closer to God.

A church group is calling out Carnival Cruise Line after they say a DJ refused to stop playingR. Kellysongs in the ship’s nightclub, despite complaints, and mocking passengers. According to ablog post on RevGalBlogPals, an online community for clergywomen, on Jan. 6, a group of 63 women who hold various positions in the Christian ministry boarded an 8-day cruise on the ship Carnival Magic. The trip was meant to foster “fellowship and professional development,” the post states.

But then they learned that, like amodern-day loaves-and-fishes story, that smaller amount could wipe out $2.2 million in debt not only for the Wichita area but all available debt for every Kansan facing imminent insolvency because of medical expenses they couldn’t afford to pay — 1,600 people in all.

Churchill Downs, Home of the Kentucky Derby, Suspends Racing After 12 Horses Die

Cohen/Getty Images Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) is suspending racing operations on its iconic racetrack after a dozen horses have died over the previous month, the company said in astatement on its website. “What has happened at our track is deeply upsetting and absolutely unacceptable,” Churchill Downs Incorporated CEO Bill Carstanjen said in the statement. “… We need to take more time to conduct a top-to-bottom review of all of the details and circumstances so that we can further strengthen our surface, safety and integrity protocols.
