Cruel Intentionsmay see the light of day with another new iteration.
The hour-long drama series, from writers and executive producers Phoebe Fisher and Sara Goodman, will include extreme hazing rituals and even the seduction of the U.S. Vice President’s daughter, the release said.

Olivia Holtmay have been born in 1997, but don’t expect her to be able to remember much from that decade.
The former Disney Channel actress, 23, is currently starring inCruel Summer, Freeform’s new thriller set in the mid-’90s. In the buzzy series, Holt plays Kate Wallis, a popular high school teen who was abducted one night in her small Texas town.
Immersing herself in the culture and technology of the ’90s for the role proved to be a fun challenge for Holt.

Cruel Summeris set to return with a new cast and mystery for its sophomore season.
On Thursday, Freeform announced that the new batch of episodes, set to premiere later this year, will starThe Goldbergs’Sadie Stanley,Lock & Key’s Griffin Gluck and newcomer Eloise Payet.
Gluck will reunite with fellowPrivate Practicealums Paul Adelstein and KaDee Strickland, who played his father and stepmom on the ABC drama series.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive clip of theJessica Biel-produced series, Jeanette Turner (Chiara Aurelia) musters up the courage to speak to popular student Kate Wallis (Olivia Holt) while shopping at the local mall.
“I like your purse,” Jeanette says, to which Kate simply smiles and replies, “Thanks!”
As Kate proceeds to go back to browsing at the kiosk, Jeanette attempts to continue conversing with her schoolmate.
