While a woman searched for her missing dog in Youngstown, Ohio, last month, she made a disturbing discovery: a set of human bones that had been wrapped in cloth.
On Tuesday, authorities announced at a press conference that the remains belonged to Amy Hambrick, a woman who vanished in Nov. 2017 at age 29. Dental records helped identify Hambrick, but her cause of death is undetermined.

A New Hampshire family is sharing the story of their dog’s near-death experience to help other pet owners.
According toa release from the Pet Poison Helpline, Sharron Champagne’s dog nearly died after getting into a “Costco-sized container of onion powder” accidentally left out in the Champagne family’s home in Hooksett, New Hampshire.
The Champagnes have two dogs, Tsuk and Scotty. Tsuk has the reputation of being the bit more rebellious of the two.

The HSTB said the dog recently arrived at the shelter as a stray.

Two newlyweds ensured their beloved pet stayed part of their lives forever.
Randy and Alexandra Eckhart, a Colorado couple, planned to marry in New Mexico in November. However, a historic blizzard dumped a few feet of snow on the state, upsetting previous plans. Around the same time, veterinarians found two large, life-threatening tumors on their dog, Bella Rose.
In an interview withKMGH, the couple said they had a vet appointment scheduled a few days before they intended to leave for New Mexico.
