Police in Iowa rescued two people from the Des Moines River after their inflatable raft capsized, and the entire mission was captured onvideo.

Both the man and woman were taken to the hospital in stable condition, and have since been released.
As for the officers involved in the rescue, they “dried off, and went back to work,” the department’s Facebook page read, while praising the officers for their “courageous and selfless commitment.

Eight members of a U.K. child sex gang have been sentenced for their “routine, cynical” abuse of teenage girls — with one of the men serving up to life in prison — after their victims “bravely faced” them in court, PEOPLE confirms.
The men, ages 36 to 48, were each found guilty of at least one charge related to the sexual abuse of six teens in Oxford.

If Ted Kennedy was nervous about anything on the morning of July 19, 1969, he certainly didn’t show it.
At around 8 a.m., shortly before his black Oldsmobile was found upside down in a tidal pond just off the Dike Bridge, he was on the porch of the Shiretown Inn in Edgartown, Massachusetts.

Mary Jo Kopechne attended a cookout at a small rental cottage on the island of Chappaquiddick. And the next morning, she was found dead in a submerged car at the bottom of a tidal pond.

The family of Diamond Alvarez heard the gunshots before their dog returned home from a walk to the park without her teen handler.
The 16-year-old girl’s mother, Anna Machado, then called Diamond’s phone. There was no answer.
At that point around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Diamond’s family members ran out to look for her.
Police who responded to the location near a park in southwest Houston saidthe teen was killed at the scene.
