The duo is currently still quarantining aftertesting positive for breakthrough cases of COVID-19, and as a result, they did their Britney Spears week dance from their respective homes. They received an 18 out of 30 for their performance. (Judge Derek Hough wasnot presentin the ballroom due to potential exposure to COVID.)
The pro dancer continued, “Like, you don’t have to talk about us getting COVID, we get it, we’re sick, but at the end of the day, just the amount of work and having to dance as two soloists as opposed to dancing together, when you can manipulate your partner’s body movement and the musicality…”

“We’re going to be doing it from the comfort of our own home,” Burke added. “Look at that. I’ve turned our living room into a ballroom.”

On a new episode of Burke’sPretty Messed Uppodcast, the pair recounted their experience being shut out of the ballroom this week due to Burke, 37, testing positive for abreakthrough case of COVID-19.
After she began to feel “strange” last Friday, Burke — who is fully vaccinated — said she suspected “there was something off for sure.” The pro dancer then got tested and broke the news of her diagnosis with fans on Sunday.

Derek Hough was missing from the judges' panel onDancing with the Stars.
At the top of Monday’s week 3 show, which was a Britney Spears-themed night, host Tyra Banks announced that Hough, 36, was not present in the ballroom.
“Due to a potential COVID exposure, and although he’s fully vaccinated and tested negative, Derek will sit out tonight’s show out of an abundance of caution,” Banks said.
Then, the camera panned to the three original judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.
