Daniel Dae Kimcan add another title to his already impressive résumé.
TheLostalum, 53, is one of 23 members appointed to the president’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders, the White House announced in a press release on Monday.
“The Commission will advise the president on ways the public, private, and non-profit sectors can work together to advance equity and opportunity for every Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community,” the press release stated.

The actor plays Special Agent Matthew Ryker. “He is an FBI agent who tracks down the culprit of these attacks,” says Kim. “My character is a fictional one that is an amalgam of different people who actually worked the investigation.

“My greatest fear was that the pilot ofLostwould air, but the series would not — because if you were to see the pilot as the totality of my character, you would have been left with that stereotype,” KimtoldVulture.
