Todd Milsap, the son of legendary country singer Ronnie Milsap, has died.
At this time, Todd’s death “appears to be medically related,” according to MNPD.
“Our son Todd was a force of joy, life, creativity and giving from the moment he was born,” the six-time Grammy winner, 76, tells PEOPLE about his son.
“He made such a mark on our world in his years on this planet, everyone who met him was richer for it. It is too soon to even understand this loss, and I hope it’s something no one else has to bear.”
“Please keep his three children, their mothers and Joyce and I in your prayers at such a fragile time,” Ronnie added.
Todd alsoworked behind the sceneson his father’s tours, and contributed to his music videos and a number of musical projects,The Tennesseanreported.

In 2014, Ronnie was inducted in theCountry Music Hall of Fame, along with Hank Cochran and Mac Wiseman.

He was signed to RCA Records in 1973 and had a string of country-pop hits that included “Pure Love,” “What a Difference You’ve Made in My Life,” “(There’s) No Getting’ Over Me,” “Stranger in My House” and “I Wouldn’t Have Missed It For the World.” He was named CMA Male Vocalist of the Year three times and Entertainer of the Year in 1977.
Todd’s service will be held at the Woodlawn Funeral Home on Thompson Lane,The Tennesseanreported. There are no further details at this time.
