Conservative Radio Host Michael 'Doc' Thompson Tragically Dies After Being Struck by Train

When police arrived on the scene, they found a pair of wireless earbuds, the news release states.

However, it is not clear as to whether or not Thompson was wearing the earbuds at the time of the accident.

Thompson was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 50.

No one on the train was injured.

Thompson is most known for hisweekday showDoc Thompson’s Daily Mojo with Doc and Brad.

Thompson had previously provided political commentary on a number of shows including CNBC’sThe Glenn Beck Program,The Pat and Stu Showand CNN and Fox News.

Since the news of his death broke, aGoFundMe pagehas been created in hopes of providing financial support to Thompson’s family.

“Doc loved his job as a radio talk show host, and he was a great husband and father,” the page reads.

“The Mojo.5.0 family mourns this loss and appreciates your generosity.”

Fans of the late radio host have paid tribute to him on Twitter.

“I’ve had no words today. Rest in peace, Michael Doc Thompson. You will be sorely missed,” one fanwrote.

“My heart goes out to Doc, a cool guy and my friend. RIP,” another usertweeted.

“RIP Doc Thompson. You made laugh when no one else could. My prayers go out to your family and friends. You will definitely be missed,” another fanwrote.

Thompson’s radio show alsopaid tributeto him on Twitter.
