'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen' Heartthrob Eli Marienthal Isn't Acting But He's Still Cute!

Lindsay Lohan’sConfessions of a Teenage Drama Queenturns 15 years on Wednesday and the film wouldn’t be the same without her love interestEli Marienthal.

The heartthrob, 32, played Sam, Lola’s high school friend, and later, boyfriend.

He may have retired from acting, but Marienthal is still the cutie he was back in 2004 when the film was initially released.

Not only has he kept his good looks, but he’s also doing good work.

The two have dedicated themselves to providing a safe space for young boys to develop personal development and self-care while also appreciating and taking care of nature.

He’s currently working on a dissertation involving public spaces and politics in Oakland, California, and has also studied at Brown University.

The former actor also willingly gave up smoking and alcohol and celebrated one year of sobriety in October, which he noted on Instagram.

“Here’s what it is: I’m trying to be available to everything in the universe that means me well, all the visibles and invisibles that want to help me move forward in my prayer for an unimaginably long, happy, healthy life,” Marienthal wrote in the caption.

He added, “And for me personally, smoking herb and drinking alcohol became clearly antithetical to that prayer. So it wasn’t a problem before, but it’s extra not a problem now 🙌🏼 One year#soberand loving that life. Bless up ☝🏼💚🌵.”
