While celebrating Legend’s firstFather’s Dayas a proud papa of two, Teigen shareda sweet photographof the 39-year-old musician spending some quality time with their sonMiles Theodore, 4 weeks, and daughterLuna Simone, 2.
“What a man, what a man, what a mighty good man,” Teigen captioned the post, referencing the classicSalt-N-Pepasong “Whatta Man.”
“Thank you for the beautiful life and these beautiful lives you have given me,” she added, before calling Legend “mybest friend and partner always, the most loving and generous and kind human in the world. And the smartest. I didn’t say funniest so you know I’m not lying here.”

Even though the day’s celebrations were dedicated to him, Legend couldn’t help but give the model and cookbook author a shout-out on Instagram as well.
“I know it’s Father’s Day and all but my wife is pretty awesome,” he wrote, sharinga candid photoof the couple glammed up in a car with one hilariously real detail: a breast pump attached to the new mom of two.
Explained Legend, “She’s taking me to dinner but still on mommy duty.”

And on Memorial Day, the couple hit up one of their favorite restaurants to enjoy theirfirst kids-free datewith each other just over a week after welcoming their new addition.
Legend recently told PEOPLE that their eldest child isgetting used to having another family memberin the house.
“[Luna’s] used to having us to herself. I think she’s just starting to realize though that he might be competition. So in some ways it’s good because she’s stepping her game up,” he said.
“She’s being more loving,she’s singing louder, anddancing harder,” continued the “All of Me” crooner. “She’s making sure we don’t stop paying attention to her.”
And while some say raising a little boy is easier, the Tony-, Grammy- and Oscar-winning star revealed he’s more concerned with the responsibility that comes with parenting a son in the wake of the #TimesUp and #MeToo movements.
“I think it’s kind of a special privilege forme to raise a young man. I want to try to give him the best advice and be a good man,” Legend explained.
