Céline Dion Supports Britney Spears As She Enters Wellness Facility: 'Sending Her All My Courage'

“Right now she needs courage, so I’m sending her all my courage, and my inner strength, and my stability, and the love and respect I do have for other artists,” Dion toldEntertainment Tonight.

Spears’s dad Jamieunderwent a second surgeryin March in hopes of fully repairing a life-threatening colon rupture that the Grammy winneropened up aboutin early January. Dion’s late husbandRené Angélil in 2016 battled with throat cancer untilhis deathin January 2016 at age 73.

“It’s hard sometimes… but, you know, when you go [through] something hard, especially [with] a family member, you find strength within yourself you did not know you had,” Dion added in her chat withET. “I do not know her so personally, but, after a while, when you go through something tough, you come back stronger.”

Spears, 37, also received encouragement from her boyfriend, model-trainer-actorSam Asghari.

On Wednesday, a source close to the Spears family told PEOPLE, “Britney just needed to focus on herself” as she cares for her father.

“Her dad being sick has taken a toll on her. He nearly died and actually had another surgery a few weeks ago. He’s not doing well. They’re so close and it has been a lot,” the family source added. “There is nothing dramatic going on with her — she just realized she needs to make sure to take time to care for herself.”

The mother of two announced in January that she would be stepping away from herDominationshow toconcentrate on her family.
